WordVolt Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 23, 2026
WordVolt stores some data locally on your device, and it can sync gameplay records to cloud services if you choose to link an account. This page explains what is stored, what is transmitted, and how to contact support about your data.
Data WordVolt Uses
Only the data needed to run the current feature set.
On-device data
WordVolt stores tutorial state, local bests, current settings, local daily progress, cached leaderboard data, queued sync submissions, cached shared challenges, and anonymous analytics events waiting to upload.
Clearing user data in the app or deleting the app can remove this device-local information.
Cloud gameplay data
If you link an email, Google, or Apple account, WordVolt can sync the gameplay data needed to enforce one scored global daily clear per linked account, publish global leaderboard entries, and associate synced results with your profile.
That can include your provider user identifier, display name, email address when your provider shares it, puzzle identifiers, score, completion time, longest word length, and result snapshots.
Diagnostics and Sharing
Anonymous analytics
When Anonymous Analytics is enabled, WordVolt can send anonymous usage, performance, and error events such as screen loads, interaction counts, sync health, and crash diagnostics.
These events use a random install identifier. They are not intended to identify you by name or email, and you can turn them off in the in-app Settings screen.
Shared links
When you share a challenge, WordVolt generates a link that points to the same mode, release date, and puzzle. If you use the system share sheet, the message or link you send is then handled by the app or service you choose.
Third-Party Services
WordVolt currently uses hosted web infrastructure for the public site and shared challenge landing pages, a hosted backend provider for accounts and synced gameplay data, and optional email, Google, or Apple sign-in when you choose to use a linked cloud profile.
WordVolt does not sell your data, does not run third-party ads, and does not include in-app purchases in the current build.
Questions or Deletion Requests
Questions about privacy or requests related to your linked cloud account can be sent to jordan@rainbladestudios.com .
Device-local data can be cleared from inside the app with Clear User Data. Cloud account or synced-record requests can start from the Account and Data Deletion page until a full in-app account deletion flow is available.
